I'm writing this article because of a recent update to Runtime Revolution.
revWeb is a new easy alternative for flash. Although it's still being developed and yet still in alpha phase, it's already making wowing display of power. Just like flash or java, you will need to download a browser plugin

only
once then after that, you can then view revWeb contents without any hitch at all. Pretty much like flash or java (again),
revWeb is available for different platforms such as
Windows,
Mac OS and
Linux variants. To check if your platform is supported, check out
http://revweb.runrev.com/ now!
revWeb applications are made using the
transcript language. Transcript is an almost-english-like scripting language that could either be fun, easy or tricky depending on your skill in speaking in english. That's right it depends on your capability to speak in english. Why? Because that's what
transcript is! If you want to give
transcript programming a go, get
revMedia now for free by going to
http://revmedia.runrev.com/. All in all
revWeb is a huge breakthrough in the
Web 2.0 world. I'm still waiting for the testing phase of revWeb to finish. When the stable release comes, I'm sure to be one who gets it first. If you want to see
revWeb in action, visit the
revMedia homepage and correct me if I'm wrong when I say that the whole rev stuff isn't worth giving a shot at.
If you liked this topic then share the word about it! Not only are you helping others know of the greatness of this language, you're also making somebody's life one step closer to the future.
